FAQs

Why should we use RTS for our Training Needs?
Section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, imposes a general duty on every employer to provide as much information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure, "so far as is reasonably practicable" the health and safety at work, of their employees. RTS do not just deliver training for training sake. We specilize in tailoring our training courses to meet the particular needs of the business. Therefore our training adds immediate value to the organisation and increases the effectivness of the employee. Finally, all of our staff are experienced and professionally qualified practitioners of the subject matter.

Are the Short Courses really of any benefit?
Firstly, there are quite specific learning objectives for each course that precludes the combination of several short courses. Secondly, these courses really do 'add value' to the business - the Manual Handling course for example will significantly reduce the chance of back injuries when the correct techniques are used. Thirdly, RTS recognise that time away from the workplace means reduced productivity. Therefore, each course has been designed to deliver the essentials in the shortest time possible.

Where and When are the Courses held and are there Minimum Numbers?
Ideally, the short courses are best held on site where employees are readily available and ideally in groups of 4 to 6 employees. The longer courses of greater than 1 day duration can be arranged either on site or at various locations around the country. This is normally dependent on the numbers attending and can be advised at the time of enquiry/ registration.
